Laid-in are also 2 letters addressed to Mr.Thygesen, also SIGNED by Sawyer. One of the letters includes a personal handwritten postcript to Mr. Thygesen, and a list of page references in the 2 volumes for Mr. Thygesen to look-up. A warm asscociation copy with 2 interesting associated letters. One of the letters is partially darkened (but clearly readable) by offsetting of a newpaper clipping which is also laid-in. Very Good.

'60 on front free endpaper. Curiously, the title on covers reads "Tomb of Washington", and title page reads "The Home of Washington", but the text and illustrations are clearly about the tomb.
